Heya! Could you do a Damian Priest x fem!reader where they dated in the past and are re-united at Dominiks wedding?
<3
damian priest x reader
one more dance
he recognized you the moment you entered the reception. yes, maybe your hair was a little shorter, but he would recognise you in a room full of people.
he knew you and dom’s wife were friends but he wasn’t expecting to see you at the wedding, not when two days before you posted that you were having a work meeting in london.
that being the reason why you two broke up. you always loved each other but breaking up was the easiest way to get going with your lives and career.
his work as a wrestler meant he was always travelling and even if, at the beginning, you loved travelling with him, it came to a point where you weren’t able to follow him and work at the same time.
you were working in tourism, that meant you were always travelling too.
your schedule wasn’t compatible with his schedule no more. he was always travelling. you were always travelling and no matter how much you loved each other, there was something missing between the two of you.
you missed him having close at night when he was somewhere far away having a show. he missed not being able to call you when you were away because of work.
it just wasn’t working anymore. and it was killing you both. so ending it was the best choice.
but when he saw you wearing that purple short dress, memories came back in an instant. memories of you two being happy, memories of you smiling and laughing at his jokes. memories of how your body was made for his bigger one. memories of how he knew you and your body so well.
and in all honesty, he was missing all of that.
he missed you.
and maybe today was the day he could have his second chance with you.
he approached you carefully.
you saw him coming straight to you so you waved at him “hey” you smiled at him and hugged him.
“hey” he smiled back “you look amazing! how are you doing?”
“oh i’m great, i was in london for a work project but i would have hated myself if i missed the wedding…”you said laughing.
“so, you leaving soon?”
“tomorrow…right after lunch…i honestly can’t wait to come back home tho…pretty tiring project, what about you? you made it far” you said proudly.
you’ve always been proud of him. proud of his achievements. you’ve always been his first supporter and he knew that.
“yes, it’s been going good” he smiled “i can’t believe i got the opportunity to be one of the leads in wwe now…with the judgment day and stuff…it’s been amazing” he smiled at you.
“i knew you would have make it far…punisher…” you joked sipping champagne.
how he missed you calling him like that.
“so…” he wanted, no, he needed to know if you were single, if you were dating but he just didn’t know how to ask you that without sounding rude or noisy “apart from work…how’s life going? any changes in your life?”
“not many…but my sister got a baby” you said smiling. damian and your sister had a pretty good friendship back in time.
“no way…i’m so happy for her! tell her that!”
“i will” you laughed “what about you? anything new? girlfriend? wife? lovers? or are you still living your rockstar life?” you asked.
damian was taken aback from your sudden question.
so you were curious.
“single as you left me” he joked making you laugh, even if you felt a little sorry about that, knowing that he was trying to make it work between the two of you, it was you who were too scared of the possible repercussions and changes, that’s why you broke up with him “are you seeing someone?” he asked.
“no…you know it’s too…complicated …” you smiled “i’ve tried…i had a relationship in the past but it didn’t work…probably i’m not meant to be in a relationship but it’s completely fine, i still have my pretty big house and my mercedes benz” you said, making him chuckle.
but he knew you were lying.
as you were still speaking, the dj put on a romantic ballad, inviting all the couples to dance.
“would you dance with me hermosa? one more dance?” he invited you and you couldn’t say no so you took his hand and let him lead you to the dancefloor.
his hands gently posing on your hips as your hands went behind his back. your head on his chest as you were listening to his soft heartbeat. you tried not to cry because you were missing all of that. you realised how stupid and reckless you’ve been years ago.
“you’re still good at dancing uh?” you smirked at him.
“only because i have the best partner with me right now” he said smiling.
“dam…”
“mh?”
“i’m so sorry” you looked up in his eyes, voice still soft “i’m so sorry for breaking up with you, for hurting you…i never meant to hurt you in the first place dam…i thought…well, i wasn’t really thinking, i was just scared” a tear dropped from your eye and his thumb quickly wiped it away.
“i know hermosa…i know” he smiled.
“you should be mad at me damian…”
“i can’t be mad at you…not when i still love you like the first day we met…i could never be mad at you querida…” he kissed your head.
“i miss all of this…i miss you so much damian”
“i miss you too y/n…” he said softly “we can make it work love…we can do it…but please, if there’s something going on, i need you to talk to me, not to hide and run away…that’s all i’m asking” damian said and you nodded.
“i promise” you smiled.
his lips gently touched yours and you felt your legs all jelly. how you missed him.
on the other side of the room there were dom and juliette watching the two of you together, smirking as their plan worked.

Our little secret
This is a gift for Kopy, over on the @lukadrienvault. Their fav ship I'd say is NathMarc so I decided that's what we're going to do. When coming up with the idea, I was think New Years Kiss and somehow, even though it's been a year since I was rewatching it, I thought of the Mondler New Years kiss and then this happened. It worked out that all the other ships they love was able to come into play, though warning, there is like incredibly minor Adrigami, but their engagement is arranged, they both don't want it and Kagami is the one to break it off because she knows how Adrien feels about Luka. Don't worry, both are very happy with the decision and it is mostly relegated to the back of the story. I've never focused on these two characters, so I hope I gave it everything they deserve. Happy Holidays Kopy, and enjoy!
“Cold! Cold, cold, oh, it’s cold!” Marc muttered, shoving the door to Dupain-Cheng Café open. He let it slam shut, moving around the slightly crowded floor and managed to find his normal seat at the only couch. It was just becoming free, so he dropped his bag onto it as the other customers pulled their jackets on to leave.
Marinette was behind the counter, working the espresso machine while her mother worked the register. He couldn’t see him, but Marc knew M. Dupain was in the kitchen working on refilling the pastry shelf.
“Hi Marc. Hot chocolate and biscotti?” Mme. Cheng asked.
Rubbing his arms to try and get warm, he shook his head. “Muffin actually. Whichever you recommend. But make my hot chocolate a large if you could. Everything been ok?”
“Yes, doing very well. how’s Adrien?”
“Mama.” Marinette called from where she was frothing the milk.
“Well, you won’t tell me anything. The boy just ended an engagement.”
Marc hummed, twisting his wrist so his smartwatch could register on the pay pad. “Technically, it was an arranged marriage neither he or Kagami wanted and I guess watching Adrien give up a chance to be with Luka, made her realise she’d be forced to give up her dreams to if she also went through with it. her objecting to the wedding was best for both of them, even if Adrien is dealing with a pissed off dad.”
“I don’t know what he’s getting annoyed about. He didn’t even ask Adrien.” Mme. Cheng complained.
“I think spending all the money on a destination wedding in London might have something to do with it. I mean, the church burned down, we had to rush to set up a new one within the rubble, found out Luka did end up coming cause Kagami basically demanded he did and then she objected to her own wedding. The reception was the most awkward thing ever. Marc, wasn’t it a disaster on your end? +stuck trying to keep Felix behaving and not insulting a family full of fencers and kendo experts.” Marinette complained, handing Marc a mug, with a toasted marshmallow floating on top.
“Oh. The reception. Yeah, it was…something.”
The whole trip to London was something. the wedding was crashing down around them the minute their train arrived in London. The rehearsal dinner had been Luka arriving and Adrien finding out Kagami insisted he be there, the Tsurugi family butting heads with the Agrestes, including the parents who decided on the arranged marriage and since Marc had been dealing with his parents bugging him about who was ever going to marry him, being called Kagami’s mother by a drunk cousin hadn’t been the highlight of his night. he wanted to have sex, just forget about everything for a few hours but he didn’t want a stranger. He decided to ask Nino, just because they’d kissed before and nothing blossomed out of it and the DJ was very good at understanding what his partner wanted in bed. Honestly, Alya had figured out she was gay while dating Nino, but she still swore Nino was the best man she’d been with.
Except Nino wasn’t in his hotel room, he’d been downstairs taking his turn in trying to convince Adrien to call off the wedding. But Nathaniel had been in the shared hotel room, already done from the dinner and ready to combat boredom by drawing as long as he could. They’d talked and Nath told him to ignore Kagami’s cousin, that he’d been one of the prettiest people downstairs and how he normally was the prettiest person wherever they were. It might have been the alcohol he’d been downing, but Marc kissed Nath. It didn’t feel weird, at all. They did the smart thing and took a second to figure out if they were ok moving forward but there literally felt like no reason to not keep going, so they did. And as strange as it was in the morning, it was great. Honestly, once the hangover had dissipated, Marc couldn’t stop thinking about it. Nath didn’t date really but clearly his understanding of anatomy made quite the mark.
They didn’t have to, but during the reception, post called off wedding, they tried sneaking away, only to get stopped by Felix, Adrien’s cousin, attempting to spark off the war between the two families. Since Adrien was busy trying to deal with his father and support Kagami deal with her mother, Marc and Marinette had been in charge of keeping the drunk English Agreste from blowing things up. on the train ride back, slight tense silence included, they decided since they were London time, they should do it. it hadn’t worked out; Nath went to wait for him in the bathroom and Ayla decided then was the time to start planning on how to lock Adrien and Luka together so they could fess up. Alya’s plans were detailed and insane and they were almost back in France when Nathaniel came out, annoyed.
They thought that was it, once they arrived back in their shared apartment building. Marinette went to go check with her parents at the café downstairs, Alya going with her girlfriend. Adrien was going to stay at Chloe’s at the hotel while Luka went back to his place and no one knew if they spoke during that time or they got good at pretending it was ok when they all reunited 2 days later. Nathaniel was going to go back to the apartment he shared with Adrien, while Nino rushed out of the apartment he and Marc shared to head to a meeting for an event he was contracted for. They’d said goodbye, talking about how, even though it happened once and it felt strange in the morning, they both liked what happened. Marc had talked himself out of following Nath across the hall and telling him he wanted to do it again and then the door opened and Nath was there.
“Still on London time?”
“Fuck yes.”
No one knew, obviously. Marc had zero clue where this was going but when they weren’t sneaking around having sex, it felt like normal. Nath being a short-tempered pessimist, who preferred focusing on his sketch book or tablet but if you upset the people he cared about, you were dead. And him, still shy and suffering from his anxiety except when it was about books or words or even a football, not to mention the family he made from his friends, he became a whole other person. The bond was growing deeper as they continued the relationship. Secret trips outside Paris, learning how to grow together in a relationship, even through stupid fights. It was more stable than any of his other relationships and none of their friends knew.
Except Nino. One of the trips led to him losing an eyelash curler at the hotel and since they both mentioned seeing Clara Nightengale and Nino had been the one to take the call about a room in Nath’s name, the DJ figured it out. he was good to keep the secret, he and Alya had broken up for weeks while she figured out her life once she came out to him and started dating Marinette and no one knew until they were ready. Which was what Nino was waiting for now from them.
But it was nice for it to be a secret, for everyone to not ask questions. They all had questions for Alya when she came out and started to date her best friend. Adrien and Luka were dealing with their own questioning with Adrien’s failed wedding and the unspoken feelings between the two of them. Nino was lucky, no serious dates at the moment but he got into some crazy things DJing at parties. With no one to hound them about their relationship, it felt calm. Marc fully believed it was why they were able to grow together so easily, without the worry of ‘what if it doesn’t work out?’ hanging over them. if it didn’t, only 3 people would know.
“Oh, Nathaniel!” Mme. Cheng called as the door opened again.
Marc bit a smile down, collecting his muffin from Marinette. It was promptly stolen by the artist.
“Hey! That was mine.”
“Suffer.” He said, mouth full of pastry.
“Ugh.” Well, not every relationship was perfect. At least he didn’t lick a left-over mug in retaliation for a stolen muffin like last time.
__________________________
Marinette might work at her parent’s café most times they saw her, but her skill in design was in no way suffering. The artist in him was in love with the lines of the pipping on the corset vest and in love with the way it clung to Marc’s body. Their androgynous body tended to avoid things that showed off his curves but Marc had pulled it out themselves and asked for help sinching in.
“Are you even pulling it?” Marc asked, pulling Nathaniel from staring at the way the strings crossed all the way down Marc’s back. Obviously having sex in a corset wasn’t the best idea, cause breathing, but he could see the appeal.
“Turn around.” He said, tugging at Marc’s waist until the writer faced him. Once they were holding onto his shoulders, he gathered the strings again and pulled, smirking down at Marc’s red face. The platform shoes he wore were completely worth it.
“I don’t think this is how you do it.”
“No?” Nathaniel asked, tugging the strings. “I think it gets the point across.”
Marc glared at him, clearly biting down a smile. “Finish up, we need to get going.”
In Chloe’s attempts in making her oldest friend smile again, she was throwing a Christmas party for everyone. Alya somehow got her way in getting the others to agree to a plan to get Luka and Adrien together, so there was also that to look forward to. Nath only said yes because New Years would be celebrated in his and Adrien’s apartment and he didn’t want to usher in the new year with the awkwardness still hanging over all of them. That and if he’d managed to have a deeper connection in a relationship they were all hiding from their friends, then Luka and Adrien who everyone knew had feelings for each other should have no issue to get together, not when Adrien’s fiancée insisted Luka be at the wedding she called off.
Maybe making a comic with Marc of Kagami leaving her wedding and becoming the best fencer that everyone forgot who she was related to, might have been a bit much just after the failed wedding, but Nathaniel didn’t regret the decision.
“Did you get the others anything?” Marc asked, picking up their satchel before pulling their jacket off the hook by the door.
“Sort of. I was finally able to afford that house warming gift for Alya and Marinette and I decided to do updates to Nino and Luka’s logos.”
“And nothing for me right?”
“Not until later, like we promised.”
They knew each other. They’d get the other a very sentimental gift, something that could be obvious and their friends could easily figure it out. they still weren’t ready for others to know. Nathaniel had been working hard on finishing commissions to pay for Marc’s gift and he really hoped the writer liked it.
Marc’s gifts for everyone were handbound copies of their favourite fairytales. His job as a bookbinder had given him the time to letterpress everyone’s books. Now Nath knew why he kept hiding his work when anyone would come close, since they were all so used to him bring home orders to work on sewing.
“You really didn’t have to do this. how am I gonna top this?” Nath joked while they had a chance alone, looking through the pages of his copy of The 12 Dancing Princesses. Probably an odd choice for him, but it was the one he remembered the most growing up and he went feral whenever he found a book inspired by the story.
“I’m sure you’ll think of something.” Marc said, leaning to see Luka and Adrien talking. “Do you think they’re finally talking about things?”
“Hopefully. Would be nice if the year ended with everyone dating the people they wanted by the end of the year.”
Nathaniel tilted his head. “Even us?”
Marc glanced down. Marc's platforms didn't fully make their heights even. “I don’t know if I’m ready for everyone to know. I’m not stupid, I know we’ll get sloppy eventually. But I like that it’s just us.”
Nathaniel gently brushed his hand against Marc’s, smiling softly at him. “Me too.”
________________________
“Nino?”
The DJ turned away from the TV inside his apartment that he shared with Marc to see his roommate and secret boyfriend pouting at him. The sound of the last minute before the new year came from the TV, which had everyone’s attention.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, feeling nervous.
“We want to kiss at midnight but other than Mylene and Ivan, no one else is planning to.”
“Oh,” he said, feeling relieved. He was worried they were going to have another secret for him to hold. “I got you.” he immediately went to Alya, who was live streaming the New Years party. “So, you’re kissing Marinette right?”
“Huh?” she looked away from her phone to raise an eyebrow at him. He could see comments teasing Alya about planting one on her girlfriend.
“Kissing someone at midnight? For good luck? Come on, it’ll be fun. Isn’t her grandpère always going on about tradition?”
Alya still looked lost at his questioning but she shrugged and started making her way to her girlfriend, wrapping her arm around her. His next set of victims were Luka and Adrien. Things were finally making headway – which was helped with Adrien finally leaving his father’s side of the family and helping Kagami to get set up a professional athlete – and Nino wasn’t at all upset with pulling this to get them even closer.
“Hey, so we’re doing kisses at midnight.” He announced, leaning on the back of the couch they were sitting on.
“What?” Adrien asked.
“Alya is kissing Marinette, Ivan is planting one on Mylene, I’m gonna offer myself to Chloe, so you two take care of each other.”
“What?” Luka asked this time.
“Well, I can’t have Marc or Nath kiss her. Nath and Chloe always find a way to push buttons and Marc is terrified of her half the time, so honestly, I’m doing them a favour by offering myself to Chloe while you guys take care of each other and Nath and Marc can fill in each other’s places. Ok?” he said, patting his best friend on the shoulder and walked off, ignoring Adrien calling for him and instead, went looking for the last person.
Chloe was glued to her phone, but she did glance up at him when he got closer.
“New year’s kiss?”
She frowned at him. Time was ticking and it was gonna look strange if he wasn’t kissing anyone come midnight.
“I’m gay.” She reminded.
“I know. I helped you dump XY when you realised that about yourself. You know, you did say you owe me.”
She looked even more confused. “This is how you wanna use it?”
“Not really, but let’s be honest. I’m way less likely to cop a feel and Alya says she didn’t realise she was gay for so long because she liked kissing me, so obviously I’m good at it.” that last part wasn’t a lie, it was actual fact Alya had admitted when they made the decision to break up.
She rolled her eyes as the countdown started. “Insta it?”
“Deal.” He agreed, glancing over his shoulder and catching Marc’s eye with a smile. if anyone owed him, it was those two.
“5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Happy New Years!”
While Alya, Marinette, Nino and Chloe immortalized their good luck kiss on social media – and Adrien and Luka decided ‘fuck it, enough hiding’ - no one blinked an eye when Marc and Nathaniel kissed in a room full of their friends.
“That was nice.” Nath was tempted to say those words against Marc’s lips, but anyone could be watching.
“One day.” Marc promised. “We should find the others. It’ll be a while before we can get Nino to distract the others long enough so we can exchange gifts.”
Nino did do his job and led the whole apartment in a very loud – Adrien was gonna have to pay so much for apology pastries from the Dupain-Chengs for their neighbours – karaoke ballad while they went to Nathaniel’s apartment across the hall.
“Do you wanna go first?” Nathaniel asked, after unearthing his present from his room. It always made Marc giggle that the amazing artist was so bad at wrapping presents. Like, he’d tape-every-edge-with-tape-bad.
“I might need a minute to figure out how to get in.” he joked, letting out a tiny yelp as Nath tugged him backwards and they both tumbled into Nathaniel’s favourite armchair. “I think I’m sitting on your tablet!” Marc complained, shuffling himself onto Nath’s lap.
“Eh, wouldn’t be the first time it’s been sat on. I think I remember a certain time, in my room while Adrien was out, where you shoved me on the bed?”
Marc knew exactly what he was talking about. Wasn’t until it was all over Nath had squirmed and unearthed his very sweaty tablet from underneath him. The poor thing had complained about being too hot in its notifications.
Instead, he focused on opening the present, pulling at the paper like a chip bag. The box inside opened easily and sitting on cream tissue paper was a book. A book of fairytales.
“Where did you get this?” Marc breathed, pulling the book out and opening it, listening to the old boo creak. It smelt amazing, looking near identical to the one he’d lost as a child.
“Took a while since I couldn’t ask Adrien for help. Do you like it?”
Marc gave him a look that told him how stupid that question was. “I hope you like mine.”
“I think I’ll love it.”
A gift bag was surprisingly easy to sneak around with, since most of their friends had been passing late gifts to others, so Nathaniel only had to remove tissue paper to get to his present. It was a leather wrapped book, but the part that acted as the cover was a bit bulky. Nathaniel undid the string holding it closed and realised the front flap was a holder for pencils. The paper in the book felt like the same type he used in his sketchbooks.
“Did you make this?” he also noticed the embossed logo at the bottom and a hidden embossed chicken – his favourite animal. “Didn’t you make like a bunch of personal fairy tale books?”
Marc shrugged. “Those were easy to do. This took a bit cause I had to deconstruct a copy of your favourite sketch book so I could sew it in. it’s not nearly as amazing as what you got for me.”
“Are you kidding? Marc, this is amazing. You are amazing. I love you.” Nathaniel immediately went red and stiff while Marc’s smile dropped, but out of surprise.
“That’s the first time you said that.” Marc pointed out.
“Yeah.”
“Do you wanna ignore it?” Marc offered.
Nathaniel bit his lips before taking Marc’s book and his sketchbook, dropping them in the box Marc’s present had been in and onto the floor before taking Marc’s hands in his own.
“No. I don’t want to ignore it. I’ve never had a stable relationship, some much so that when we went out of town that first time and had that massive fight, I thought this was all over. Except, of course you’d be the one to teach me how a relationship is supposed to go, how we grow and build and fix things as time goes on. it was just supposed to be a simple thing, sleeping together, but it felt so right taking the next step. And when it kept growing from there, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier. So, Marc Anciel, I love you and I really hope we last forever, because I can’t imagine being with anyone else.”
Marc leaned down and softly kissed Nathaniel, pulling one hand away to rest on the other’s cheek. He pressed their foreheads together when they finally pulled apart. “I love you too Nathaniel.”
The artist kissed his boyfriend again, using his free hand to tug him closer. “Stay?”
“What about Adrien?”
“If you actually think he and Luka aren’t going to finally talk and work things out, you must not have been paying attention.”
Marc let out a hum, pulling Nath in, by gripping his neck. “What should we do if we have the whole place to ourselves?” he asked between kisses.
“Well, this armchair is pretty sturdy. Wanna figure out how much?”
Marc laughed. “God, when the others find out, I think Adrien is gonna burn everything in your apartment.”
“Oh, trust me, Nino will do the same to your place when he finds out all the things we did there.”

Plus One
a wedding guest blurb about that time you and Harry showed up to a wedding without dates
or: you like champagne and Harry likes you.
wc: 2k
AN: this is my first reader insert so let me know what you think!!!!
_______
You weren’t exactly a fan of weddings. The last one you went to was six months earlier--the bride was your ex-boyfriend’s cousin and you spent most of the night making small talk with his grandmother about how great the weather was and how beautiful the ceremony had been.
Which was true--it just wasn’t your idea of a perfect evening.
And maybe you were a little bitter about this wedding. No one really enjoyed watching two people promise to spend their lives together only a week after you threw the towel in on your last relationship, right?
So as you trudged into the reception hall and took in the sight of all of the name cards, you realized that this one wasn’t shaping out to be any better. Your name was written in pinterest-worthy script, and beside yours was his. You’d RSVP’ed long before the break up, and you weren’t about to throw a fit days before your co-workers wedding demanding that she remove the evidence of his existence from the decorations she’d been prepping for months.
So instead of stomping out and mourning the relationship you were sure was the one, you made your way over to Table 13. You weren’t surprised to see that it was in the back of the room--hidden in a corner near the bathroom and far, far away from the dance floor.
Your co-worker Nicole had begged you to come. And you loved her, of course you wanted to support her on her big day. The only catch was that you were the only one from the office in attendance and you didn’t know a single person aside from Nicole and her new husband, Josh.
But it was a beautiful spot. A big tent on the grass of a beautiful mansion--one that was old and covered in ivory and you were going to make the best of it. The weather was warm for mid-August and seeing as your plus one recently decided he wanted to see other people, you only felt mildly awkward flying solo.
So you dug through your purse until your fingers blindly found the sharpie that you knew was buried somewhere inside. You pulled it out, yanked off the cap, and crossed out the 15 letters that were printed below your name.
“Should I ask?” A voice sounded beside you. A hand pulled out a chair from the table and dropped his name card above his plate. He left an empty seat between you as he sat down and let his eyes scan over the paper in your hands.
“Oh, he just couldn’t come,” you let out a laugh--embarrassed to have been caught doing something so childish.
“So you’re crossing him off altogether?” His accent let you know he was far from home, his green eyes and dark hair let you know that he was definitely not someone you’d met at the engagement party a year earlier.
“He also said he wants to see other people. So, there’s that, too.”
He laughed at his, leaning back in his seat and letting his eyes scan over your face. “I’m Harry,” he said, extending a hand to shake yours. “Josh’s roommate from his study abroad in London.”
“Y/N,” you said, giving your hand in return. “Nicole’s co-worker. Glad to see I’m not the only one shoved to the back table.”
He laughed at this, leaning to the side when a server filled your glasses with water. “Whoa, I personally think we have the best seat in the house. Close to the loo, far enough from the dance floor that we hopefully won’t suffer from second-hand embarrassment when someone gets too drunk,” he shrugged his shoulders, still keeping a steady gaze on you.
A couple joined the table, talking amongst themselves as you replied. “Yeah, well, I’m glad to be here. Even if he’s not,” you pointed down to the empty seat between you and Harry.
“He sounds like an idiot, in all honesty,” he looked down at the fabric of the chair. “He’s missing out on free food and alcohol,” he paused for a second, bringing his eyes back up to yours. “And you--so the joke’s on him.”
You felt the heat rise to your cheeks as you pulled your gaze down to your hands. The simple gold ring he’d given you for your birthday was still on your right hand. You twisted it out of habit and wondered where he was.
Harry turned to greet someone he knew--another man his age with a woman on his arm. You sed the moment to check your phone. No new messages. Barely two hours into the whole event of the night and you’d only had two drinks. Something needed to change fast.
The rest of the guests seemed to filter in to the hall--the DJ started talking into the mic and before you knew it, your table was full. Ten seats in total, making it a solid nine minus your plus one. When Harry stood from his seat with his eyes on the bar, you followed his lead.
“Waited long enough, right?”
“Absolutely,” he laughed, offering a hand in front of him to allow you to lead the way.
“So you’ve known Josh for a while,” you fell into step beside him, watching as he let his thumb and pointer finger pluck at his lower lip.
“Met in 2014 and lived together for a few months. Dirtiest flat I’ve ever inhabited, to be honest.”
You laughed at that--you’d heard countless stories from Nicole about how messy Josh could be. “London, you said?”
He nodded as you came to a stop at the end of the line. “S’where I’m from, s’where he came for a semester.”
“Long way to travel for a wedding,” you remarked, shifting your weight to save your feet the pain of your wedges.
“I live here now,” he explained, shoving a hand in the pocket of his trousers. “Josh and I had kept in touch and I came to visit the year after his time abroad and fell in love. Moved over about a year ago now.”
“That’s about when I started working with Nicole.”
“She’s in,” he trailed off, clearly wanting you to remind him of what your firm did.
“Commercial real estate marketing,” you spit out the phrase like second nature. People could never seem to remember what you did for a living, but Harry nodded thoughtfully like he was interested.
You stepped a ways forward when the line in front of you moved. Only two people separated you from the bartenders as Harry replied. “Right--he’s told me that before.”
You smiled politely in an attempt to pretend it wasn’t awkward that you barely knew each other. Harry was cute and friendly and at least there was someone that made you feel like you weren’t totally out of place. Knowing your luck, though, he likely had a date who was in the bathroom or home sick or something of the sort.
“Did your date back out last minute, too?” You forced the question out, probably sounding awkwardly and frantic.
The side of his mouth pulled upward as if he was somewhat smug. “No--also flying solo. But, by choice.”
“You chose to come to a wedding by yourself?” You widened your eyes playfully--but also seriously wondering how someone as handsome and outgoing as he was could wind up here alone.
He nodded and lifted his shoulders as if to downplay the decision. “Are you implying that I need someone to keep me company?”
“No,” you laughed, crossing your arms over your chest. “Not at all. Just--wish I had the confidence to show up at an event like this and not worry what everyone thinks about the lack of man beside me.”
He laughed and tilted his head to the side. “Well, you’ve got a man beside you now, and they’re paying attention--whoever they are--they’ll just think we’re together.”
He stepped up the open bar and rested his elbow on the wooden surface before you could reply. “Two of whatever she’s having,” he threw his chin in your direction as he removed two folded bills from his wallet and placed them in the tip jar.
“Uh, just prosecco, please,” you stepped forward and waited--somewhat awkwardly--as the bartender turned her back to you both.
The over-dramatic voice of the DJ floated over the air as he introduced the wedding party, prompting you to clap your hands together as the bartender filled your glasses. Once you both had your drinks in hand, Harry made a move for the table.
“So you’re here alone by choice--do you know anyone else here?”
His eyes scanned the room as you settled back into your seats--this time he occupied the chair directly beside yours. He pursed his lips together, shook his head side to side, and then brought his eyes back to you. “No--just the happy couple.”
“And me,” you reminded, a small smile creeping over your lips.
He raised his glass between you and clinked it against yours. “And you.”
“And for a living you…” your voice drifted, allowing him to pick up the sentence where you left off.
“User experience at a software company. Heard of Brinmoore?” His lips threatened to pull into a smirk, as if he knew your answer before the word left your mouth.
“Never.”
“Me neither until I got here,” he laughed, leaning back in his chair again now and shrugging. “Pretty good, though. Quite like it, actually. Decent pay, decent benefits. Still don’t understand the whole American healthcare system, though.” He frowned and seemed to zone in on his place card that was now right next to yours.
“Don’t get your hopes up,” you teased, suddenly enthralled with the way he brought his eyes back up to meet yours.
You were interrupted momentarily by the couple across from you--they asked something about the dinner menu and made appropriate small talk as Harry seemed to sip as his champagne between stolen glances in your direction.
A woman at your table--Shayna, who introduced herself as Nicole’s friend from high school--motioned between the two of you when Harry was in the middle of a conversation with her husband.
“How long have you two been together?” She smiled politely, forking into the salad that was now being served.
“We’re not,” you said quickly, letting your hand flutter in the air between you. “Just met tonight. Both here solo.”
Your words were choppy and forced--hopefully the blush on your cheeks was less evident in the dim lighting.
“Oh--well, good timing then, huh?”
**
The cutting of the cake found you at the bar again--this time hoping to drown out the anxious voice in your head that worried about never finding your soulmate. The same bartender poured you the same drink, and when she offered it to you over the counter, you felt a hand on the small of your back.
“Dipped out?”
Harry--whose tie was now loose around his neck after another three drinks--had red cheeks that you imagined were warm to the touch.
“Needed a refill,” you raised the glass between you, watching as his eyes trailed down to your hand. He fell into step beside you as you headed back to the table
The music--which had been moderately upbeat all night--suddenly slowed. Shayna and Kevin were still seated side by side, laughing as they spoke with Nicole’s mother.
You placed your champagne flute down on the table, and when you looked up, Harry’s hand was waiting expectantly, mid-air.
“What?” You asked, looking down at his open palm. You could see some calluses at the base of his fingers--the rings he wore had left their mark on his otherwise smooth skin.
“Dance?”
“Dance?” You repeated the word back at him, your eyes flickering over the parquet dance floor--as if you must have misheard him.
“Dance,” he nodded, smiling again as you brought your eyes back to his. He bounced his hand in the air--as if to prompt a response from you--but you soon lifted your hand to find his.
He pulled you in the direction of bride and groom--both of whom swayed in the center of a larger group of people. You looked around the room, certain that you looked like a fool dancing with a man you hardly knew and even more sure of the fact that you looked embarrassed and nervous and awkward.
But the feeling didn’t last long. Harry pulled you up against him, his right arm snaking around your waist and his left lifting your hand to rest by your shoulders--which were now nearly touching in the midst of the crowd.
He seemed to step into the song seamlessly, his body swaying and dipping with each beat as if he’d danced to the song a thousand times. He was warm--but the heat of his body next to yours was soothing and reassuring.
By the end of the song he hummed into your ear--a quick glance in your direction was all he needed to know that you were more than content with the current arrangement. And when the song ended and Nicole and Josh were left staring at you in awe, Harry simply shrugged and nodded his head in the direction of the bar.
“I’ll grab us another glass.”

More Than I Know [Part 7]
Tom Holland x female reader
Masterlist
Summary: You finally tell Tom what happened with Joe, your sister get’s married and dancing with Tom turns out to be more than just dancing.
Words: 2.2k
Warnings: fluff, reader talking about somewhat of a toxic relationship? nothing else I think (let me know if there is anything in there that I should add)
A/N: Remember when I said that I was going to split the wedding into two parts? Yeah, those turned into three :D Was the story of Joe inspired by real-life events that happened to me? Maybe (read: yes)
I’ve never been to a wedding so I kinda guessed the whole thing. I hope you like it anyways!
I hope you enjoy!
Prologue | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
The wedding was taking place in the so-called Great Room of the castle which was beautifully decorated for the occasion, much like the dining room from last night, everything in white and gold. As you walked down the stairs towards the entrance to the Great Room you saw that Tom was waiting for you next to the door. He looked dashing in his black suit, his curls swept back nicely. When he noticed you, his eyes widened a bit, his mouth opening as if he wanted to say something but no words came out. You walked over to him and he reached out his hand for you to take.
“Wow, Y/N... You look absolutely stunning.” You blushed at his words as you took his hand.
“You don’t look too bad yourself.” He smiled at you and pulled you closer by your hand, giving you a kiss on the cheek.
“Shall we go in?” He asked nodding his head in the direction of the door. You nodded, so Tom linked his arm with yours and led you inside the Great Room.
Your seats were in the front of the room right beside where your parents were going to sit once they arrived. Daniel was standing on the other side of the aisle talking to his parents. He was shifting his weight from one leg to the other his eyes moving towards the door every so often even though he knew it would be a while until Kate would arrive. Tom kept holding your hand as you sat down and you nervously played with his fingers. He eyed you with a small smile.
“Nervous?”
“Yeah... Is that weird? I’m not the one getting married, yet I’m nervous.”
“I don’t think it’s weird.” He shrugged his shoulders squeezing your hand reassuringly. ”This is a big step for your sister so it’s a big step for you as well. But for what it’s worth, I think the ceremony will go smoothly and everything’s going to go according to plan. Your grandma told me how much planning went into this, I think it’s impossible for something to go wrong.” He chuckled and you couldn’t help but let out a laugh as well.
“You’re right. This is probably the most meticulously planned wedding of the year.”
Throwing one arm over your shoulder Tom pulled you closer and placed a kiss on your temple. “I’m glad I can be a part of it. Thank you for inviting me.”
“No, thank you.” You whispered afraid someone could overhear you. “For agreeing to accompany a complete stranger to a wedding.” You couldn’t believe that only weeks ago Tom was a mere stranger in a coffee shop. It felt like you’d known him for months, if not years. It’s crazy how much things can change in such a short amount of time.
“You never told me what happened with that Joe guy.” Tom said after he saw Joe enter the room, subconsciously pulling you a little closer.
“Huh, you’re right...” You raised your eyebrows. You had almost forgotten about Joe. When you first saw him yesterday you were afraid that you’d be thinking about him the whole time, even if it was just because you wanted to avoid him. But the thoughts of Joe had been completely erased by Tom. “Well, we met when I was fourteen and I was immediately smitten with him. He was always nice and kept hinting that he had feelings for me, too. He lives a few hours north from London so every time I asked him about his feelings for me he said ‘yeah there’s undoubtedly something between us but I just can’t commit to a long-distance relationship.’”You mocked Joe’s voice making Tom chuckle. “But instead of keeping his distance from me whenever we did see each other he kept my hopes up. Whether I wanted to or not, I always hoped that one day we’d be together. Until I tried to take the initiative once. I asked him if I could visit him, you know, to talk. Told him to give me a weekend where he had time. I looked up trains for the dates he gave me. And let me tell you those tickets weren’t cheap. But I was willing to pay that and travel several hours to see him.
“In the end, he told me he had other obligations that weekend but he could probably fit in a couple of hours to chat. That’s when I suddenly realised that he never cared as much about me as I cared about him.” You shrugged your shoulders. “Long story short, he led me on for a long long time.” You pursed your lips as you looked at Tom. He looked down at you with an expression you couldn’t decipher.
“Phew. Well, that’s definitely his loss. But how come he’s here now?” He turned around to look at Joe again who was talking to one of Daniel’s friends.
“He’s a family friend. But I really expected Kate to tell me that he’s coming.”
“But you’re good now? No lingering feelings or anything?”
“Nah. I didn’t even think about him until you brought him up just now.” You gave Tom a proud smile.
“That’s great, love.” He rubbed your shoulder and before either of you could say more your mother sat down next to you talking about how excited she was.
The ceremony was beautiful. Seeing your sister getting married had you more emotional than you had expected. You teared up quite a few times while your mother was quietly sobbing next to you. Tom squeezed your hand every once in a while with a small smile.
***
The reception was being held in the dining room that you had already seen yesterday but this time the decorations were even lusher, which you didn’t think was possible. But it still looked beautiful. Everyone congratulated the newlyweds, pictures were taken and you really enjoyed yourself.
Kate insisted on throwing her bouquet and even though you tried to stand as far back as possible, the beautifully arranged flowers landed right in your hands. Perfect. Your mum clapped her hands and pushed Tom in your direction waving the photographer over.
“We need a picture! C’mon Y/N, show us who caught the bouquet!” She stood next to the photographer with the biggest smile and you rolled your eyes.
“Me!” You said with fake enthusiasm and clenched teeth. Tom laughed as he wrapped his arm around your waist.
“Don’t sound too excited, love.” You looked up at Tom, putting biggest smile you could muster on your face. He looked down at you, a similar expression on his face. “That’s more like it.”
After that, the wedding breakfast was on the agenda. And to be honest you were really hungry. Because of your late morning, you hadn’t really had the time to eat actual breakfast. So the wedding breakfast would literally be your breakfast. You and Tom were seated close to the head table. You were sharing a table with Joanna, her husband and Lottie as well as Joanna’s mother, your aunt Mathilde. She was your mother’s oldest sister and just as enthusiastic about weddings.
After everyone was finished with their food, speeches were held which ended up being just as emotional as the ceremony itself. You had also prepared a little speech and your hands were shaking with nerves as you stood up. You had the sheet of paper lying in front of you in case you lost your place. You wrung your clammy hands as you looked around the room introducing yourself.
“When Kate introduced Daniel to us for the first time, I immediately knew that he’d be the one for Kate. Every other guy Kate brought home before him was bound to be kicked out by her eventually. And there were a lot.” You chuckled and so did everyone else who knew of Kate’s dating history. “No one ever had the strong-mindedness that matched Kate’s. It’s not a secret that she can be a handful sometimes. But Daniel is the perfect counterpart to that.” You turned to look at Kate and Daniel sitting at the head table. “You complement each other in the best possible way, and every time you guys look each other you can see that true love really exists. Kate, I’m so happy for you.” You had tears in your eyes again and so did your sister. You laughed at your emotional state. “Look at me, I’m crying again.” You wipe away your tears before continuing. “Daniel, you’re the best husband I could ever wish for for my sister. Welcome to the family.” You raised your glass with a smile and Daniel mimicked your motion sending you a wink, mouthing ‘thank you.’ Everyone else raised their glasses as well and cheered. You finally sat down again, having to wipe some more tears away.
After Kate and Daniel had danced the first dance as husband and wife the dance floor was quickly filled with people. You were talking to Lottie when you felt Tom’s hand on your thigh. You turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
“D’you wanna dance?” He asked with a sheepish smile and you couldn’t help the giggle that escaped your lips.
“Of course I’d like to dance.” You nodded and turned towards Lottie. “Will you be alright while I dance with Tom?” She only nodded too engrossed in a colouring book to give you a verbal answer. Her tongue was slightly poking out between her lips while she tried to stay within the lines. You reached for Tom’s outstretched hand and he pulled you to your feet before leading you to the dance floor that was in the middle of the room. The DJ was playing a somewhat upbeat song so Tom and you started duelling yourself with the most awkward dance moves you both knew. While you did the robot, Tom showed off his best boyband moves, making you burst out laughing. Tom grabbed your hands and twirled you around until you were dizzy and out of breath from laughing. He pulled you close so you lightly collided with his chest his arms wrapping around you. The current song faded out and the DJ’s voice was heard over the speakers.
“Let’s get romantic with a little bit of Ed Sheeran.” You heard Kate squeal, she was a huge fan, and run to grab Daniel to dance with him. The first chords of Kiss Me were heard and you automatically wrapped your arms around Tom’s neck with a blush on your cheeks. He slowly swayed you from left to right, his hands on your waist. Tom was looking at you with a cheeky smirk as his hands moved towards your back, inching lower towards your butt.
“Ah ah.” You grabbed his wrists. “Your hands stay right there” you moved his hands back to your waist. “around my family.” You playfully glared at him.
“Around your family, huh?” He pulled you closer so your chest was pressed against his. “So if we were alone, you’d let me?” He raised an eyebrow, that stupidly attractive smirk still on his face. Yes, you’d let him. But you won’t tell him that.
“You’ll have to find that out for yourself.” you shrugged and gave him a smirk of your own. Tom’s cheeks lifted into a genuine smile as he continued to sway you on the dance floor.
After a few moments of looking into your eyes, he moved his face a bit closer as if to tell you a secret. “Did you known I met Ed Sheeran at the premiere of his concert film?”
“Is that supposed to impress me, movie star?” You made an unimpressed expression, even though you were indeed a little impressed.
With a barely noticeable shake of his head Tom let out a soft laugh, one of his hands moved to your cheek. He softly pulled you closer until his lips touched yours. You were surprised by the feeling of his soft lips against yours for a moment. But then you allowed yourself to close your eyes. This was most likely one of the last times you got to kiss Tom, might as well enjoy it. Your hands moved into his hair pulling him even closer as your mouth opened, your tongue meeting Tom’s. You melted into his touch, forgetting everything around you as you kept kissing Tom. His thumb softly caressed your cheekbone as you tilted your head to the side, urging your lips against his.
You were slightly out of breath when your lips eventually separated from his. The song was over and the DJ had decided on something upbeat again. But you didn’t even really notice. Tom’s forehead was against yours, his nose brushing against your own and you could feel his breath on your lips. Tom pulled you closer by your waist.
“Y/N I...” he paused and swallowed thickly as if he needed to pluck up the courage to say what’s on his mind.
“You..?”
He moved his head back a bit so he could look into your eyes and you knew that what he was going to say was important.
“I don’t-“ You were suddenly grabbed by the shoulder and pulled into the forming conga line by Dave who laughed at the face you pulled. He couldn’t have picked a worse time to do that.

Well, does he leave a little note to tell you You are on his mind?
Soon after the apoca-wasn’t Aziaraphale and Crowley had decided that it would be a good idea to move in with each other, eventually settling on the demons flat as nearly every nook and cranny of the bookshop was crammed full of different types of literature; leaving it much too crowded for the serpent's tastes. Thankfully though, they were quickly able to find a balance between Crowley's minimalistic preferences and Ariraphales hoarding of books. It was quite nice as neither of them had to worry about the potential of going years without seeing the other and, even though he didn’t sleep, Aziraphale enjoyed laying in bed next to a sleeping Crowley either reading one of his books or just taking the opportunity to be alone with his thoughts. It got even better once they got into the habit of leaving little notes for the other around both the flat and book shop. It had started out as a way for them to remind the other of something that they needed to do that day but it quickly turned into little love notes, each trying to outdo the other with their declarations of adoration. This is where Crowley's imagination gave him the edge needed to win. Even before moving into the demons flat Aziraphale quite enjoyed taking baths, even more so once he’d been introduced to the concept of bubble baths, but he found that the act was ten times more enjoyable when taking one in the flat as it’s tub was a Jacuzzi tub thus making it much larger and nicer than the clawfoot he had in the bookshop. Lounging in the warm bubbly water Aziraphale was enjoying a glass of wine as he listened to some soft music and jotted down ideas for his newest love note. Unfortunately, he was having a very difficult time doing so and at this point his wine was gone and the water was turning cold so he decided to get out; wrapping a fluffy white towel around his waist, and almost missing what Crowley had done to the mirror. Written in the steam was a multitude of tiny hearts surrounding a much larger one that was not only sprouting a pair of angel wings but also held both of their initials inside of it, causing his own to melt in his chest.
Send you yellow flowers when the sky is gray?
It was a rather gloomy day in London, a heavy rain thundering against the sides of the building, and Aziraphale had decided to settle in by one of the windows in Crowley's plant room, curled up in his favorite chair, a comfy blanket covering the lower half of his body, and reading from one of his Oscar Wilde first editions.
“Angle?” Crowley called out from the entrance of the foyer
“I’m back here, dear” Aziraphale said, not bothering to look up from his book as he turned he the page
Once they heard the footsteps of their masters approach the plants began to tremble for fear of what would happen if the demon believed they were allowing themselves to be coddled without his permission. Noticing the plants sudden distress, but unaware of what caused it, Aziraphale closed his book and reached up to gently caress the trembling leaves of the poor things in an attempt to comfort them. The moment Crowley stepped into the room Aziraphale could tell that, despite the fact that he still had on his sunglasses, he was eyeing his plants suspiciously daring any of them to fail his expectations for them.
“Where have you been out in weather like this?” Aziraphale asked, noticing that the demon was hiding something behind his back “what have you got there, dear?”
Crowley didn’t respond, rocking back on his heels and smiling smugly before pulling out a very elaborate bouquet full of different types of flowers all variations of yellows, whites, and other cheerful colors.
“They’re beautiful, Crowley” Azriaphale said, taking the bouquet, smiling softly at the flora
Holding the flowers up to his face, the angle was about to smell them when he noticed a small box hidden nestled between them. Pulling the box out of the flowers Aziaraphale didn’t even have a chance to open it and see what was inside as he’d noticed that Crowley had gotten down to one knee in front of him.
“Angle” Crowley said removing his glasses “...will you marry me?”
“Oh, Crowley” Aziraphale said becoming teary eyed “yes!”
Aziraphale didn’t bother opening the ring box as the moment the word yes left his mouth, he was on the floor with Crowley, allowing the demon to pull him into a tight embrace as he kissed him. When the two finally pulled away Crowley grabbed the ring box and opened it, pulling out the golden ring and slipped it onto his angles finger. Neither of them bothering to get up, preferring to just enjoy the others company, Crowley cradling his angle in his arms as he sat in his lap and Aziraphale soaking in his soon to be husbands love as he snuggled into the demons embrace.
“You know it’s funny, my dear” Azirahale said, holding up his hand so he could examine his new serpentine ring “I was actually planing on proposing to you myself” he resched into his jacket pocket and pulled out a ring box of his own “I even bought a ring”
“Oh really now” Crowley chuckled, taking the box from his angle, opening it up to examine the angle wing themed ring “I love it”
Slipping the ring onto his own finger Crowley looked back over at Aziraphale and saw that he’d started to laugh, slowley filling his own chest with joy until it spilled out into his own fit of laughter.
Because he'll wear your favorite color Just so he can match your eyes
After barely any consideration the two decided on having their wedding in Tadfield, so it would be easier for Adam and the Them to attend, and went out to hand deliver the invitations to their nine guests, the very first invitation being delivered to Warlock, who was overjoyed about receiving an invitation because it meant spending a few days with nanny and Brother Francis, Adam (and by extension Dog), the Them, Anathema, Newt, Shadwell, and Madam Tracy, much to Newt and Warlocks surprise as they'd been convinced that the two were already married. With the assistance of Madam Tracy, who insisted on helping them set everything up, they were able to make all of the arrangements in no time at all as the older woman was very efficient at cracking the metaphoric whip in her efforts to make sure that everything was perfect and set up the ceremony in a small local church, at Crowleys insistence, as a bit of last fuck you to the archangels, specifically Gabriel, regardless of the fact that he would be unable to keep his feet planted on the ground. When the priest asked if there were any objections, everyone froze, some glancing up nervously while the others scanned the room suspiciously, no one daring to breathe until they were positive nothing was going to happen. For the vows Aziraphales were long, thoughtful, and he was obviously pouring all of his soul into them and while Crowleys were shorter they were just as thoughtful, swearing that he would protect his angle from whatever heaven or hell would dare to throw at them.
“With the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the groom”
Once Aziraphale and Crowley pulled away from their kiss they looked out at their friends and spotted the Archangel Michale standing at the back of the pews clapping along with the others, giving them a small smile that said you idiots finally figured it out before disappearing never to be seen again. Maybe. (Why you ask? Because I think it would be hilarious if during their investigation into Aziraphale they became convinced that the two had already confessed their love for each other a long ass time ago and was absolutely mortified to find out they were still pining.) Glancing at each other Crowley tightened the hold he had on his new husband, both of them waiting for something to happen but, just like with the objections, nothing did. Letting out a sigh of relief the newlyweds walked back down the isles and out of the church; miricaling up two bouquets, one full of white roses, the other full of black. Once they reached the Bentley the flowers were tossed out to the small crowd The Them, minus Pepper but with the addition of Warlock, fighting each other over who would catch Crowleys while Newt was almost hit in the face by Aziraphales before he caught it. Stepping into the passenger side of the Bentley Aziraphale just barely managed to notice the blue tartan socks Crowley was wearing, hidden away under his pant legs.
“I thought you didn’t like tartan, dear” Aziraphale said, looking down at his husbands feet
“I don’t” Crowley said, closing the door to the Bently
“Then why are…”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, angle” Crowley said starting up the car, the smallest of smiles gracing the corners of his mouth
Well does he take you dancing just to hold you close?
After the ceremony was over everyone migrated to Anathema’s home for the reception since it was a BBQ potluck type deal with only a few things being ordered in, namely the tier cake, and the DJ was a playlist of classical and Queen music Anathema had created on her phone and connected to some bluetooth speakers she'd bought specifically for the reception. To make sure there was enough room Newt, Anathema, and the Them had moved all of the furniture either as close to the walls as they possibly could or just took them out of the room completely so there would be plenty of room for when the angel and demon had their first dance together. It was to Love of my Life and once that was over Aziraphale excitedly suggested that he teach everyone his favorite dance and since it was his wedding they agreed. Standing in the kitchen Crowley watched as his husband taught everyone, minus Shadwell who refused to dance and Anathema as she was currently standing next to him, how to dance the gavotte.
“You should join him” Anathema said taking a drink from her wine glass “it looks like they're having fun”
“Fun?” Crowley asked, more harshly than he’d intended “what could possibly be fun about a dance that went out of style ages ago”
“No one’s gonna judge you; not only is it your special day but the only one who’s actually doing a good job is your husband”
“Eh” Crowley shrugged causing Anathema to roll her eyes
“Come on ya big baby” Anathema said, dragging the demon out into the living room
Once he saw that Crowley was going to join the dance Aziraphales face lit up even more than it already was and he immediately linked his arm with his husbands pulling him along, instructing him along with everyone else on what to do.
“Thank you for joining, dearest” Aziraphale said quietly, giving the demon a kiss on the cheek once the dance was finished
Dedicate a song with words meant just for you?
After all of the dancing was done it was time for the cake to be cut and food to be had, everyone managed to find some place in the house to sit so they could dig in. The moment he noticed that Crowley and Aziraphale had settled into their seats Warlock dragged Adam along with him as they snuck over to the speakers the two of them very excited to enact their plan. It had started when Adam happened to notice a Velvet Underground CD mixed in with the Queen ones the last time Crowley had given him a ride in the Bentley and when he brought it up to Warlock he remembered that Nanny had often played their songs for him when he was little. This lead them to coming up with a plan to use one of their songs to play a bit of a prank on Crowley and got to work on researching the band until they found the perfect one. Quietly cackling from their semi hidden position Warlock quickly found the song he was looking for as Adam was on the lookout and it wasn’t until the instruments began playing did both boys looked over at Crowley as the demon choked on his wine, doing his best to hide the panic he felt running through him when he heard Pale Blue Eyes playing through the house. He knew he’d never mentioned liking Velvet Underground to Anathema and he was positive Aziraphale hadn’t mentioned it either. Readjusting his sunglasses Crowley leaned back in his seat so he could glance around the room, noting that no one seemed to notice, or really care, that the song that was playing wasn’t a Queen song. So he casually turned towards the speakers and saw Adam and Warlock standing there, Anathemas phone in hand, both boys making sure to keep dead ass eye contact with the demon when he looked over at him.You little brats. Crowley mouthed to his godsons, attempting to suppress his smile as the ex-antichrist smiled at him as he and Warlock strolled back over to their friends; partially hiding amongst them in case the demon decided to come for them.
“Well, that was a lovely song” Aziraphale said, taking a bite of the cake that sat on his plate
“It was wasn’t it” Crowley said slouching back in his chair, taking a drink from his wine.
Rent a private picnic By the fire's glow
A few years had passed since they had gotten married the angel and demon now found themselves the proud parents of three beautiful children, their oldest, who Crowley had found abandoned when she was very young who also coincidentally had red hair that was a similar color to Crowley's along with one grey and one blue eye, Rose, their toddler Eden, who had longish curly light strawberry blond hair and yellow eyes, and the baby Raphael who had the same loose curls Crowley had when he and Aziraphale had first met but wasn’t quite as long just yet and blue eyes, the two youngest being literal gifts from God herself. It was the angel and demon’s anniversary and they had decided to rent a cottage by the sea for the weekend to celebrate it. Thankfully, Rose was old enough that she could watch over her siblings by herself as their parents had some time to themselves and enjoy the adult activities that one normally participated in on during an anniversary. Because of how cool the nights were the family often found themselves sitting outside to watch the night sky. Just like they were doing this night Aziraphale looking up at the stars, pointing out the different constellations to baby Raphael as he held him in his lap and Crowley got to work starting a small fire to help keep them warm while Rose followed Eden throughout the garden as she chased after fireflies. It wasn’t until the sun was almost gone did both girls come back to the blanket. “Papa. Daddy!” Eden exclaimed, happily running into Crowleys open arms “yook at how many fireflies we caught, show them Rose” Plopping down next to her papa Rose held up the mason jar she and Eden had filled with fireflies so baby Raphael could get a good look at the jar and what was inside it before unscrewing the lid, freeing the insects back into the night sky, one landing on Raffy’s nose before flying off to join the others. Letting out a content sigh Aziraphale leaned into Crowleys side, the demon wrapping his arm around him as Eden moved so that she was sitting on both of their laps, and Rose leaned back against the serpents side, the back of her head resting on his shoulder.
